Deadline Extended For Poster Contest To Promote Food Safety In Guam’s Elementary Schools

Hafa Adai!  The Division of Environmental Health of the Department of Public Health and Social Services wishes to announce that the deadline for entries for the poster contest for the “7th Annual Guam Food Safety Education Month 2012” has been extended to Friday, September 14, 2012.  The contest, for Guam students in grades kindergarten through 5, promotes food safety on our island.

This year’s contest focuses on creating a theme and poster that shows what food safety means to the students entering the contest.  We believe education on food safety should begin at an early age, and it is hoped that this contest will provide the spark to get parents and students interested in the subject.

The winning posters will be showcased during the month of September for the “7th Annual Guam Food Safety Education Month 2012.”
