Emergency Medical Services Week

On behalf of the Department of Public Health and Social Services, the Guam Fire Department, and the EMS Community Partners of military and private ambulance companies, the Emergency Medical Services Week Committee is inviting the public along with our community partners and supporters for the following events to honor and promote Guam’s local Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT’s) who stand strong and dedicated to saving the lives of the people of Guam:

  1. EMS PARADE OF LIGHTS/SIRENS: Monday, May 16, 2016, 9:30 A.M., Guam Homeland Security/Office of Civil Defense.  Emergency vehicles will demonstrate and showcase the lights and sirens as they parade through downtown Hagatna enroute to Governor’s Office, Adelup for the Proclamation Signing.

     

  2. PROCLAMATION SIGNING: Monday, May 16, 2016, 10:30 A.M., at the Governor’s Conference Room, in Adelup.  Join us in witnessing, Governor Eddie Baza Calvo, officially proclaim the Week of May 15-21, 2016 as Emergency Medical Services Week.

     

  3. STAR OF LIFE HERO’S AWARDS CEREMONY:  EMT, AEMT, EMD, & PARAMEDIC of the YEAR, Monday, May 16, 2016

     

  4. The EMS for Children Health Fair, Wednesday, May 18, 2016, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the Agana Shopping Center.  The EMS Children Health Fair will feature exhibits from EMS government agencies, health care providers, and ambulance companies.

     

    Please join us in celebrating and honoring our dedicated and hardworking Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT’s) who provide life-saving care to the people of Guam. The community’s continuous support for a successful Emergency Medical Services Week is greatly appreciated!
