Emergency Medical Services Week

On behalf of the Department of Public Health and Social Services, the Guam Fire Department, and the EMS Community Partners of military and private ambulance companies, the Emergency Medical Services Week Committee is inviting the general public to join them, along with our community partners and supporters for the following events:


  1. Proclamation Signing, scheduled for Tuesday, May 13, 2014, 10:40 a.m., at the Governor’s Conference Room, in Adelup.  Join us in this event, as Governor Eddie Baza Calvo, officially proclaims the Week of May 18-24, 2014 as Emergency Medical Services Week.


  1. Kickoff WAVE, set for Friday, May 16, 2014, 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at Tatuha Park (Across ITC Building), in Tamuning.  The EMS community will be rallying and waving to encourage community support and promote awareness of Guam’s everyday hero’s-our finest EMT’s.


  1.  The EMS Rodeo and EMS for Children (EMSC) Health Fair, scheduled for Sunday, May 18, 2014, 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the Agana Shopping Center.  The EMS Rodeo/EMS Children Health Fair will feature exhibits from EMS government agencies, health care providers, and ambulance companies.  There will be health screening activities, car seat inspections, CPR demonstrations, health products displays, ambulance and equipment displays, EMT skill competitions, and learning activities for children.
