EMS Week May 17 – May 23, 2015 EMS Strong, Para I Famagu’on
The Department of Public Health and Social Services, Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Office and the EMS for Children (EMSC) Program, would like to invite the public to attend the following EMS Week events to honor and promote Guam’s local Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT’s) who stand strong and dedicated to saving the lives of the people of Guam.
Parade of Lights – Tuesday, May 12, 2015, 9:00am., Guam Homeland Security, Agana Heights – Emergency vehicles will demonstrate and showcase the lights and sirens as they parade through downtown Hagatna enroute to Governor’s Office, Adelup for the Proclamation Signing.
Proclamation Signing, Tuesday, May 12, 2015, 10:30am., at the Governor’s Conference Room in Adelup. Join us in witnessing, Governor Eddie Baza Calvo, officially proclaim the Week of May 17-23 as Emergency Medical Services Week and Emergency Medical Services for Children Day.
Star of Life WAVE, Wednesday, May 13, 2015, 4:30pm to 5:30pm., at Marine Drive (Across Chamorro Village, in Hagatna. The EMS Community will be rallying and waving to encourage community support and promote awareness of Guam’s everyday hero’s our finest EMT’s.
EMT Hero’s Blessing – Sunday, May 17, 2015, 9:00am Mass at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, Agana Heights.
The EMS for Children Health Fair – Saturday, May 23, 2015, 10:00am to 2:00pm., at the Agana Shopping Center. The EMS for Children Health Fair will feature exhibits from EMS government agencies, health care providers, and ambulance companies. There will be a Gurney Race competition, care seat inspections by certified Child Passengers Safety Technicians, CPR demonstrations, health products displays, ambulance and equipment displays, EMT skill competitions, and learning activities for children.
