Guam Comprehensive Cancer Control Coalition’s Survivorship and Quality of Life Action Team Presents the ‘Hope Project Video

The Guam Comprehensive Cancer Control Coalition’s Hope Project video will be broadcast on PBS Guam, channel 12 at 7:00 pm on January 18 and January 24, 2016.  The video project was produced by the Coalition’s Survivorship and Quality of Life (SQOL) Action Team and is generously being shared with the community by PBS Guam. The 40-minute video highlights stories of survivorship from local survivors and their caregivers.

The Hope Project’s aim is to educate the community about the challenges faced by cancer survivors and their families on Guam, to highlight how they overcame challenges, to emphasize the role of prevention and/or screening and ultimately, to celebrate the human spirit.  The video features personal stories from seven cancer survivors and two caregivers, sharing what they have learned and to lend hope to others in their journey.

The video features cancer survivors: Bob Koeppen, Deanna Palmer, Tishawnna Smith and her caregiver Carla Borja, Jaimie Quintanilla and her mother Triny Aguon, Jason Murphy, Hubert Recheungel and Egmidio Babasa.

The Guam Comprehensive Cancer Control Coalition extends a sincere Un Dangkulu Na Si Yu’os Ma’ase to the survivors and caregivers who participated in the project, and to PBS Guam for generously sharing the video with our community.
