Malicious Email Using Chase Name

The Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) would like to alert the public of a malicious email being distributed using the JP Morgan Chase name in the subject of the email.

Email details as follows: Subject: Payment from Chase bank, Body: You have received a payment from J.P. Morgan Chase for amount $17,841.00 and Attachment: payment-0113-809.pdf.zip.
The attachment contained a malware program designed to steal information and user credentials for online banking websites.

J.P. Morgan Chase is working with our vendors to takedown any of the domains sending the emails. If you have received this malicious email, please forward the email to abuse@chase.com.
It is very important that you do not open the email, do not click on any links within the email, or do not click to download pictures from the email.
