Proposed Changes to the Rules and Regulations Governing the Issuance of Health Certificates

The Division of Environmental Health (DEH) of the Department of Public Health and Social
Services (DPHSS) wishes to inform the public that DEH is currently updating the rules and
regulations governing the issuance of Health Certificates, pursuant to 10 GCA Chapter 22
Section 22101.  The proposed Rules and Regulations can be found and downloaded from the
DPHSS website, www.dphss.guamdev.com, along with a document that summarizes the changes made
in the proposed regulations.

The public, particularly owners of establishments that fall into the following categories,
are encouraged to make and submit comments: Eating and Drinking Establishment (restaurants,
bars, sandwich stands, etc.), Food Establishment (bakeries, grocery stores, delicatessens,
etc.), Cosmetology (beauty salon, barber shop, nail salon), Massage, Tattoo, Swimming Pools,
Laundry (public laundry, dry cleaning establishment), Institutional (nursing home, adult care,
child care, correctional facility) and Therapeutic Massage.  Comments may be sent to DEH@dphss.guamdev.com.
