The Director of the Department of Public Health and Social Services is pleased to announce that the Division of Environmental Health was awarded $119,646 for two Technical Assistance Program grants from the U.S. Department of the Interior:
- Using Technology to Improve Inspection Efficiency involves the use of improved electronic tools to capture and analyze data collected during inspections of health-regulated establishments, and detentions of regulated commodities.
- Training in Laboratory Application in Food-borne Illness Outbreaks will train up to 35 persons who are involved in food safety on Guam in the laboratory component of a food-borne illness outbreak investigation.
