The Medicaid New Adult Group (Childless Adult) Health Benefit Coverage

The Director of the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS), Mr. James W. Gillan, announces that the Medicaid New Adult Group health benefit coverage will be the approved ABP as mandated by ACA effective February 1, 2016.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has approved Guam’s Medicaid Alternative Benefit Plan (ABP), in accordance with Section 2001 of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA), P.L. 111-149. A copy of the ABP can be downloaded at http://www.dphss.guamdev.com/  or can be picked-up at the Bureau of Economic Security (BES) – SNAP office (Inarajan, Mangilao, & Dededo) and the Bureau of Health Care Financing Administration (BHCFA) – Medicaid & MIP office in Mangilao.  

The ABP will replace the current Medicaid health coverage for the childless adults ages 19 – 64. For more information, please contact BHCFA at 735-7293 or 735-7471.
